Rajasthan Royals’ young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal delivered a blistering powerplay assault against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their IPL 2025 clash at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The left-hander hammered 49 runs off just 19 deliveries, smacking seven boundaries and three sixes in a devastating display of aggressive batting.
The Instagram post shared by the Rajasthan Royals’ official account captures Jaiswal on the field with the caption “49 off 19. Seven fours. Three sixes. PowerPlayed, Jaiswal! 💪.” The image shows the young batter in the team’s signature pink jersey, after one of his big hits.
Powerplay Dominance
Jaiswal’s innings set the perfect platform for the Royals after captain Sanju Samson won the toss and elected to bat first at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. As indicated in one of their earlier posts, the Royals’ skipper made the decision with a casual “ondu kelsa maadi, you guys bat first 👍” – a nod to the local Kannada language in Bengaluru.
