Aiden Markram was on fire in the LSG vs Delhi Capitals match yesterday! The South African star smashed a quick 52 off just 33 balls, making it his fourth fifty this IPL season – the most he’s ever scored in a single IPL.

The franchise shared a post on their official Instagram handle with the caption “He stood up when it mattered 👏”, highlighting Markram’s important role in the team’s performance in the series. Lucknow Super Giants have also named him Commander of the Match for his superb performance.

The video shows Aiden Markram in the LSG blue jersey during what seems to be his innings against DC. The visual captures him in action, representing his determined effort during a pressure situation.

From the moment he stepped onto the pitch, Markram looked like a man on a mission. He announced himself with a massive six against Mitchell Starc and never looked back. Batting alongside Mitchell Marsh, they crushed the powerplay with a solid 51-run partnership. By the halfway point, Markram had already reached his fifty with a strike rate over 150 – way better than his previous seasons where he couldn’t even crack 140.

While Markram was the only bright spot in LSG’s batting lineup, he didn’t stop there – he also grabbed two wickets with the ball, showing off his all-round skills.
Despite Markram’s heroics, Delhi Capitals made light work of the chase. KL Rahul came back to haunt his former team with a cool 57 not out, and with Abishek Porel adding 51, DC cruised to victory with eight wickets and plenty of balls to spare.
Markram’s form has been incredible this season – only Sai Sudharsan from Gujarat Titans has more fifties than him. Even though LSG couldn’t get the win, Markram’s consistently aggressive yet composed batting gives them hope as they push for a playoff spot.
