Sunrisers Hyderabad have celebrated a special milestone for their experienced left-arm pacer Jaydev Unadkat, who has joined the franchise’s “100th club” during their crucial encounter against Mumbai Indians in the TATA IPL 2025.
In an Instagram post shared by the franchise’s official handle, SRH congratulated “JD Bhai” on reaching this significant achievement.
Unadkat’s Century Milestone
The caption accompanying the post reads, “The 💯th club welcomes JD Bhai 👌” – marking what appears to be Unadkat’s 100th appearance in the Indian Premier League. The achievement highlights the veteran bowler’s longevity and consistency in the world’s premier T20 league.
Jaydev Unadkat, known for his crafty left-arm pace bowling, has been a valuable addition to the Sunrisers Hyderabad squad with his experience and ability to bowl in different phases of the game. His journey in the IPL has seen him represent multiple franchises over the years before finding his place in the SRH setup.
Aggressive Batting Approach
SRH’s game plan for the season has been clear—aggressive, fearless cricket regardless of the target. This philosophy was reinforced in a recent statement by Heinrich Klaasen, one of their key batsmen, who emphasized the team’s commitment to playing without restraint.
“NO BRAKES, JUST AGGRESSIVE BATTING!” was how the franchise described their batting intent in a recent social media post featuring Klaasen. This approach aligns with their team motto for the season – “Play With Fire” – which has been a consistent theme across their communications.
The team has been building momentum, with recent posts highlighting the performances of key players like Travis Head, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Heinrich Klaasen. Each player has been showcased with captions emphasizing qualities like “Focus, Balance & Intent” for Head and “He’s chasing fire” for Reddy.
Sunrisers Hyderabad was founded in 2012 after the Hyderabad-based Deccan Chargers were terminated from the IPL. The team has had significant success in the tournament, winning the 2016 IPL title under the captaincy of David Warner. Their home ground, the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal, has a capacity of 55,000 spectators.
With Jaydev Unadkat reaching his century of appearances and the team embracing their fiery approach, Sunrisers Hyderabad will be hoping to maintain their momentum as they progress through the TATA IPL 2025 season.
