About The Gujarat Titans
The Gujarat Titans are a relatively new franchise in the Indian Premier League, having made their debut in the 2022 season. Despite being newcomers, they made an immediate impact by winning the IPL championship in their inaugural season under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya, who has since moved to Mumbai Indians.
Now led by young Indian batting star Shubman Gill, with Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan serving as vice-captain, the team is looking to recapture the success of their debut season. After failing to qualify for the playoffs in the 2024 season, the Titans appear to be focusing on team building and community engagement as they head into the second half of the 2025 campaign.
The franchise’s home ground is the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the largest cricket stadium in the world with a seating capacity of 132,000.
With their tagline “#AavaDe” (which translates to “Bring it on” in Gujarati), the Gujarat Titans are clearly signaling their competitive intent for the remainder of the the TATA IPL 2025 season while maintaining strong connections with their home state’s culture and communities.
