Namibian cricket star David Wiese’s wife Chené Wiese has shared a heartfelt moment with his hubby in a new Instagram post. She posted a stylish photograph with the simple yet touching caption, “I love us @davidwiese96 ❤️”.
The image shows the couple in an elegant pose, professionally captured by photographer Mandy Stander. The polished look was completed with makeup by CW Makeup Artist and hair styling from Her Place Salon, as tagged in the post.
Cricket Star Balancing Family Life And Professional Career
The intimate post comes during a particularly busy period for Wiese, who is currently involved with the Pakistan Super League (PSL). His arrival in Pakistan was warmly welcomed, with the Lahore Qalandars sharing footage of a “surprise late-night welcome by Shaheen and Sameen Rana for David Wiese.” This marks Wiese’s seventh season with the Lahore Qalandars, a team he has developed strong ties with over the years.
A Decade Of Love
The romantic post follows shortly after a significant personal milestone for the couple. In late April, they celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary. In a recent post Chené Wiese wrote, “What a blessing it has been to be married to my best friend of 17 years, my husband of 10 years & the best father any mother could ask for for her children 🥹🥹🩷🩷

Here’s to the next decade 🥂 🥂🥂”
The couple are parents to a daughter who turned three earlier this year.
Dual International Career
At 39, Wiese has had a remarkable cricket career representing two nations at the international level. Born in Roodepoort, South Africa, he initially represented South Africa in international cricket before switching allegiance to Namibia in 2021.
Wiese made his Twenty20 International debut for South Africa against Sri Lanka in August 2013 and played his first One Day International against New Zealand in August 2015. After qualifying to represent Namibia through his Namibian-born father, he made his debut for the Namibian national team in 2021 and was part of their squad for the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Throughout his career, Wiese has established himself as a valuable all-rounder in T20 cricket, playing in various leagues worldwide including the Indian Premier League, Pakistan Super League, and Caribbean Premier League.
The latest post stands as a touching reminder of the personal side of professional athletes.
